A New Approach to Mapping Cultural Ecosystem Services

According to various sources, Southern Morocco has stood out as an outstanding tourist destination in recent decades, with global appeal. Dakhla City, including Bay, classified by the Convention on Wetlands 2005 a Wetland of International Importance, offers visitors entertainment opportunities at many city sites. Therefore, human activity and social benefits should be considered conjunction need safeguard ecosystems maintain Ecosystem Services (ES). This study aims provide overview tourism dynamics hotspots related cultural ecosystem services Bay. The landscape attributes are used along InVEST model detect distribution preferences for Cultural (CESs), map hotspots, identify spatial correlations between features such visiting rate understand which elements nature attract people locations around area. Geotagged photos posted Flickr™ website 2017 were approximate number visits. results showed that suffered several dips 2005–2017 visits currently rising. Additionally, estimated annual visit shows Bay been growing steadily 2%.
